
The unexpected change comes at a time when Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. is considering a buy-out bid by the former Atlantic City gaming executive Dennis Gomes and New York real estate developer Morris Bailey. Mark Juliano, the company's chief operating officer, appeared surprised by Trump's announcement, but declined to comment.
James Perry has been the president of the Trump casinos group since 2005 and played a major role in the emerging of the company from the Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filed in the same year. The casino company has shown financial progress slower than expected since.
