Casino Belgrade soon to open

Serbia's newest gaming venue, Casino Belgrade will open on June 30 as part of the Yugoslavia Hotel.

The casino, which is currently 2,000sq.m in size, will be extended to a total of 9,000sq.m by the end of October, and will have cost €60m.

Belgrade-based Grand Casino Company paid €18m for a license to operate in the Serbian capital.

The company's majority owner is Casino Austria, which holds a 51 per cent stake, and the Serbian State Lottery holds 10 per cent.
